この後、焼き板クラフト、English Activity、花火。盛りだくさんの1日でしたが、子どもたちは「寝ないで遊ぶ」プランを計画。ずーっと一緒に遊んでいたい気持ちだったのでしょうが、残念なことに全員眠ってしまいました(^^;
Day 2 – Serenity and art
When waking up, we were met by rain. We needed to change our schedule. Luckily, we could go back to the farm, and visit the indoors facilities of the chickens. The children were fascinated, as there were so many of them!
We then moved on to a clinic nearby, with an amazing view from the top floor.
We also got to participate in a traditional, Japanese tea ceremony and were taught to arrange flowers .
After enjoying the serenity and tranquility at the clinic, we needed to satisfy our aching stomachs. We headed back to the facilities for lunch and ate to our hearts’ content!
Satisfied from our lunch, we headed out to the MOA museum, close to Atami station. The rain had stopped, and we could enjoy a beautiful sea view on our way there.
The museum was absolutely wonderful. Together with toy dogs the museum provided for kids, we enjoyed the works of Mr. Yoshida Hiroshi (amongst others), and also colored our own post cards. The children were very creative and made their cards really colorful.
We came back to the facilities just in time for dinner. The kids could barely eat out of excitement though, as they had been told they could enjoy some fireworks afterwards.
As promised, the children could try shooting some small fireworks. It was a joy, seeing the kids so full of excitement.
After finishing up the fireworks, it was once again time for English activities. We repeated the games from the day before, as the kids by this time knew them well and insisted we’d play them again. They did a really good job understanding the instructions this time.
As it had been a long day, it was time to go to bed. Satisfied with our adventures, we all went to sleep.
