Day 1 – Arrival
We arrived around lunch time, astounded by the beautiful surroundings.
We quickly got acquainted with the facilities, dropped off our bags in our rooms and headed for lunch, as all of our stomachs were aching.
After lunch, we headed out to play nature games. Once again, we could enjoy the beautiful environment. We played nature themed “What doesn’t belong?”
“How many nature sounds can you hear?”
“Blindly follow the leader”
and made or our own nature pictures.
Satisfied with the nature games, we moved on to a small farm. The kids got really excited at the sight of the cute little rabbits living there, and even more so after finding out they could feed and play with them. We then excitedly moved on to the farm’s goat and cow, which the children could also feed.
After finishing at the farm, we could explore the surroundings. The children had a good time running around freely, playing Tarzan in the forest jungle gym, and playing by the riverside.
Happily exhausted but hot, we cooled down with some locally made ice cream before finishing up our nature activities with “Nature Bingo”. Some items were more difficult to find than others, but ultimately, we found them all and the kids did really well.
After a long but satisfying day, we all enjoyed the tasty dinner served at the facilities.
When our stomachs were full, it was time for English activities. We sang “Head, shoulders, knees and toes”, played “Simon says” and “Picture Bingo”. “Simon says” was a little bit difficult for the children in the beginning, but it quickly became one of their favorite games!
Tired but happy, we decided it was time to go to bed. We all slept very well that night, having enjoyed the fresh air only nature can provide.
